How to Make Strawberry Tea
Strawberry leaf tea
Ingredients
- Boiling Water ( one cup)
- Strawberry leaves ( one teaspoon)
- Honey
Directions
- Add a teaspoon of the strawberry leaves to the boiling water
- Allow the mixture to steep for about five minutes
- Strain it
- Add honey to taste and serve hot
Strawberry Iced Tea
Ingredients
- Strawberries ( four, number depending on the amount you want to make)
- Leaves
- Mason jar or a jug
- Water ( about one quart)
Directions
- Fill the pot with cold water
- Place it out in the sun on a scorching day for at least five hours or less if the intensity of heat is high to bring out the real flavors of the fruit ( you can skip this step and boil the mixture in a pan for about 10 minutes)
- Strain it well using a jelly bag or a sieve
- Refrigerate for about an hour
- Add ice cubes into it and enjoy the refreshing infusion
Strawberry Milk Boba Tea
Ingredients
- Water ( Five cups)
- Rainbow Boba ( Half cup)
- Honey ( one teaspoon)
- Sweetened condensed milk ( four tablespoons)
- One cup strawberries
- Ice
Directions
- Boil the water
- Add the boba into the boiling water
- After the boba begins to flow on top, cover and cook for approximately five minutes
- Remove them from the heat using a strainer and keep it in a bowl
- Mix well with a teaspoon of honey
- Keep it aside
- Blend the strawberries in a mixer and make a puree out of it
- Strain the puree and make sure to discard any seeds
- Fill a glass with ice cubes
- Add the milk to it
- Now mix two to three tablespoons of strawberry puree
- Finally, add the boba and stir well
- Garnish it with a slice of fruit on the glass
To add a strawberry-like flavor to your black tea, you may make a syrup by boiling a cup of strawberries in two cups of boiling water in addition to sugar and simmer for ten minutes until the syrup gets thick. Strain it and discard the strawberries when cooled to room temperature. Finally, chill it in the refrigerator. Prepare your black tea, mix it with the syrup, ice, and even lemon juice. You have your strawberry lemon iced black tea ready.
Safety and Precautions
Side effects
Though this tea has no known side effects, there are chances of developing allergies from strawberries (the fruit or even the leaf). Overconsumption may also bring in adverse health hazards. If you seem to have nausea, vomiting or even develop allergies after having it refrain consuming the tea any further and talk to your doctor at the earliest.
During Pregnancy
Because of its diuretic properties, tea made from the fruit or leaves of strawberry may minimize water retention in pregnant women. Not much detail has been derived regarding its usage during pregnancy. Moreover, the tannins present in strawberry (fruit and leaves) can block the iron absorption, resulting in anemia which is dangerous for pregnant women. Therefore, it is advisable to have a word with a doctor about drinking this tea when pregnant.
Lactating mothers should also avoid drinking the tea to prevent complications of any kind.

You can buy strawberry tea online or in stores selling herbal infusions. Getting wild leaves to make this fruit tea may not be possible, you can avail of the pure dried leaves online. Other variations include strawberry vanilla tea bags, long island strawberry tea or strawberry hibiscus tea.
